How to Hear Your Inner Wisdom When Everything Feels Noisy

We live in a world where everything is so loud…opinions, sounds, lights, expectations, responsibilities, notifications, everyone needing something from you… immediately.

No wonder your inner wisdom feels quiet. Maybe even hard to hear?

But here’s the truth:
It’s not gone or trying to hide.
It’s just getting drowned out.

Your wisdom is deep…you just need a way to tune back in.

Why It Feels Hard to Hear Yourself

1. You’re used to listening outward

Most of us learned to scan for what others need, want, expect, or prefer.
Looking inward can feel unfamiliar — even uncomfortable.

2. Your mind is louder than your intuition

Thoughts yell. Thoughts run and race.
Wisdom whispers. Wisdom is patient and paced.

3. You haven’t slowed down enough to settle your system

Your inner wisdom doesn’t shout over the noise. It doesn’t want to run the race.
It speaks when you create space. It needs space…

How to Make Space for Your Inner Wisdom

1. Start with the body, not the mind

Your inner wisdom lives in sensation, not thought.
Ask:
Where is there tightness? Where is there ease? What feels true?

Your body knows before your mind understands. Follow the body with your mind, without judgment, rather with curiosity…giving your parts whatever they may be asking for, a stretch, a wiggle, a sigh. A simple noticing that part is even there. Show your body some love.

2. Ask better questions

Shift from:
“What should I do?”
to
“What feels aligned? What is actually true? What brings relief? What brings peace? What do I need?”

3. Practice hearing the quiet voice

If it’s urgent, fear-based, frantic, or loud….it’s a good chance, that is not wisdom.
Wisdom is calm. Grounded. Steady. Confident. Warm.

4. Give yourself permission to trust yourself

This one is big…and yet it is a small shift that is an intentional practice.
Inner wisdom grows when you believe you’re allowed to follow it.

I believe 100% you have the wisdom inside of you! I truly do. You just need a chance to process, have the space, and surface your inner wisdom. You can trust yourself.

A Simple Practice to Try Today

Sit quietly for one minute.
Place your hand on your chest.
Ask:
“What is the next right thing for me in this moment?”

Not the whole plan.
Not the perfect outcome.
Just the next best thing.

Whatever comes, trust that tiny whisper. Your first instinct. Get curious.

I always say it’s like a giant science experiment on ourselves. Super fascinating but with low stakes. :)
